I was born in Seoul, South Korea, on September 1, 1959, where my father served as a pastor in the Korean Methodist Church. As a third-generation Christian, I grew up in a family of faith with one brother and two sisters, being the youngest son.
I was ordained in the Korean Methodist Church in 1989. On August 12, 1992, my family and I moved to the United States for my advanced studies at Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. In 2020, I earned my Doctor of Ministry degree from the Divinity School of Regent University in Virginia Beach.
I started at Bethany UMC near Smithfield in July 2025. We are truly excited to share our lives with you as part of God's family. May God continue to use me for His glory as I serve this wonderful church and its faithful servants.
